EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
Los alumnos de Secundaria del Colegio San José de Calasanz de Barbastro celebran el Día Europeo de las Lenguas.
Por Iniciativa del Consejo de Europa, Estrasburgo, se celebra desde el 2001 el Día Europeo de las Lenguas cada 26 de septiembre. En esta fecha se hace una llamada especial a más de 800 Millones de Europeos, representados en los 47 Estados Miembros del Consejo de Europa. Estamos convencidos de que la diversidad lingüística es una herramienta para lograr una comprensión de gran alcance intercultural y plurilingüe.
Para conseguir este objetivo nuestros alumnos de Secundaria vieron un vídeo en inglés sobre el acuerdo del Consejo Europeo. Trabajaron distintos Idioms of the world, descubrieron diferentes tongue twisters, las palabras más largas, como la misma palabra tenía diferentes significados en otras lenguas, palabras únicas y lo más atractivo escucharon a un buen número de celebrities hablando en diferentes lenguas. Toda una experiencia muy recomendable para favorecer la competencia comunicativa y lingüística de nuestros alumnos.
EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
Secondary students celebrated the European Day of Languages.
It is held by the initiative of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg since 2001, every 26th September. On this date a special call is made to more than 800 million Europeans represented in the 47 Member States of the European Council. We are convinced that linguistic diversity is a tool to achieve a large intercultural and multilingual understanding.
In order to get this goal our secondary students watched a video in English about the European Council Agreement, they worked several Idioms of the world, they discovered a group of tongue twisters, the longest words and words with different meanings in other languages. The most interesting activity was that they could listen a number of celebrities speaking in different languages.
It A highly recommended experience to promote our students’ communication and language skills.
